The Complete and The Illustrious

Finally, it was time for “ Architecture of the complete and the illustrious which Luang -Por Chaloem Choke Chandajato, the mediation master at Doi Thep Neramit Meditation Center, Chiang Mai described about our all intentions and efforts to create the architectures presenting the heaven, universe of Thewdā (Angel) boundlessly, Phra That Dharma Rattana Chedi which was the place for all Buddhists do worship to the Lord Buddha’s relics at Doi Thep Neramit, and the Three-headed Grand Nagas of the underground sphere installed at four corners as the guardians of Phra That Dharma Rattana Chedi.

By this occasionally, the Three spheres, consisted of heaven, world and underground, were created and constructed at Doi Thep Neramit completely. In 2012, the year of Naga, there was a celebration at Doi Thep Neramit purposing on to dispel Thai people’s suffering from floods and the disasters in the past years and may occur in the future. I, myself, thought that this creative architecture was not only for doing worship to the Lord Buddha but also, paying homage to King Mengrai The Great as well as celebrating the 750th Anniversary of Chiang Rai and the 715th Anniversary of Chiang Mai in the year of 2012.

At the same time, there was another purpose for create this architecture was to offer merit for King Rama IX (Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Former King of Thailand) be long live. As Luang-Por Chaloem Choke’s definition, Phra That Dharma Rattana Chedi was celebrated, completed, and illustrious throughout the Thee spheres.
